Our HISTORY

Access Health Alliance

Daniel Abercrombie first visited Haiti in October 2014 with a mobile medical group and learned of the great need and plans already forming with an existing organization to build a medical facility in an area called Forêt des Pins. This region had very limited access to healthcare services, and poverty and distance made seeking care in larger cities inaccessible for many.

After much prayerful consideration, Daniel and Natalie determined that God was leading their family to this new purpose and relocated their family to Haiti in December 2015 to help start and run this medical facility.

The clinic opened in March 2016, functioning in a very rough building and with limited resources. The first two and a half years were filled with much growth and improvements in the building and in the care the clinic staff were able to provide.

In later 2018, the Abercrombies and the founding organization agreed that separating the existing medical functions was necessary to carry the clinic into the future.  Thus, the Abercrombies have formed a new non-profit, Access Health Alliance, to assume support of realizing the vision God has given us for health-focused ministry.
